Tidbits

The PS3 has a slowly growing library of great light gun games – a genre I’m particularly fond of – and it’s about to get a couple more additions. Are you wondering why you even bothered buying a PlayStation Move? Why not try your hand at Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection, released today in North America on PSN for $26.99? If you’re in Europe, like me, it’s out tomorrow.

Sega officially unveiled ‘Yakuza 5’ yesterday, but we’ve all known it was coming for a while. There’s some screenshots and information which you can find over at Andriasang and the game’s official website (it helps if you speak Japanese, obviously).

I don’t usually do news, but when I do it’s just to talk about something I’m super stoked about, and I can’t possibly express how excited I am for this game. Here’s hoping it gets the same treatment ‘Yakuza 4’ did for its EU and US releases.

More on why I love ‘Yakuza’ to come, probably.

I don’t want to make a habit of posting gaming news, because there’s way more, much better places you can go for that, but I feel this is relevant since I previously posted about Battlefront 3’s rumoured development.

Spark Unlimited have been working on a Triple-A, science fiction franchise title for a major publisher for quite some time now, and it seemed pretty much everyone expected it to be the long-awaited third sequel to the ‘Star Wars: Battlefront’ series. But now, as reported at VG247, it does’t look like that’s the case, and Spark have in fact been working on a ‘Lost Planet’ sequel for Capcom. This comes with some sense of relief, since Spark Unlimited’s previous titles haven’t been so great. However, I will say I enjoyed ‘Lost Planet 2′ – it was like ‘Monster Hunter’ with guns and grappling hooks – and I hope Spark doesn’t screw this up. If you’re interested, the trailer can be found after the jump.
